Libby is a third year student studying a BSc Earth Science (Hons). From high school she knew she had a clear interest in physical geography but it was only until studied Earth Science in first year at university that it became clear that that subject was for her.

Libby has always pushed herself to try various things to the best of her ability whether that be completing Duke of Edinburgh Gold, being a multiple medal winner representing Wales at the British Championships for gymnastics as well as even being chosen for class representative for her subject this year, and once she heard about this amazing opportunity she wasn't going to let it pass her by!

Libby is incredibly grateful to be part of such a highly skilled team and is excited to experience the Ugandan culture as well as investigate the highly significant research we will gain from this expedition.

As welfare officer, Libby will ensure the team's welfare is secure throughout the expedition by providing a friendly face that will keep everyone motivated, whilst dealing with any problems efficiently if they may arise.
